MID.1.dtc

Desk . Tray . Companion

Introducing the MID.1, a 40% mechanical keyboard designed from the ground up with an architectural sensibility. It’s like the weird house that one artsy friend lives in: painted black, boxy, conspicuously lacking certain modern conveniences, and lots of dimmer switches. It’s clearly not for everyone, yet you can’t let it go.

Base kit pricing: $350

Availability

Coming very soon!

The MID.1 isn’t available to purchase just yet.

I’m currently running a small pilot sale for early supporters. Once those orders are successfully fulfilled, I plan to run a public sale following a reservation-based, in-stock model. You'll be able to reserve your spot during a reservation window for $20, then purchase a ready-to-ship unit once production wraps. Think of it like a group buy, but without the upfront payment or risk.

Stay in the loop by joining the interest list or following the A.Okay! Discord server.

Design

Purpose-built, different on purpose

Like a cool, modern brewery in an old, converted warehouse: structure-first, industrial materials, and visible hardware. You can see how it’s put together, and take it apart the same way. Its DNA also includes some grandpa's tool box, some midcentury desk lamp, and a little equipment control panel.

Support

The A.Okay! lifetime promise

Listen up. For long as you’re using it, I’ve got your back.

The MID.1 is built to last, but if it doesn't, you're covered. Gaskets, feet, or even one of the stainless steel case parts: if you can return it, I’ll replace it. Free of charge.

This doesn’t cover lost or damaged parts, but if something wears out, breaks, fails, or cracks under normal use, I’ve got you.

For everything else: lost parts, modding questions, weird lighting behavior, or mystery rattles, just reach out.
